BIO

Carmen was born and lives in Ottawa. She started painting upon her retirement in 2002 and fell in love with it. She presently does watercolour and some acrylics. Although she enjoys acrylics, her passion lies with watercolour. She has painted with many excellent teachers and continues to learn techniques and develop her abilities by taking classes, visiting art galleries and reading art reviews and books. Her work includes a variety of subjects such as landscapes, animals, architecture, etc. When she sees something she likes, she will sketch and paint in “plein air” or take a picture for some studio painting.
